Our Story

The Creation of Cary’s Circle

Cary’s Circle was born from a shared vision between Kate, a Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner, and Karen, a Certified Care Manager. As experienced Aging Life Care® Professionals, they recognized a critical gap in the support available to families navigating the complexities of aging and caregiving. Rather than working in silos, they chose to collaborate — combining their clinical knowledge, care management expertise, and deep understanding of family dynamics — to create something different.

Together, they founded Cary’s Circle with a single, guiding principle: No one should ever have to carry the burden of caregiving alone.

By founding Cary’s Circle, Kate and Karen have created more than a service — they’ve built a community. A place where families can expand their Circle of Care and feel empowered, supported, and never alone in the journey.

Cary’s Story

Mary Cary, lovingly known to everyone simply as “Cary,” is Kate’s beautiful and devoted mother. Cary finds great joy and peace in tending to her garden and cherishes every moment spent with her family. As she grows older, despite the natural challenges of aging and illness, her heartfelt desire is to remain in her own home surrounded by the familiar and comforting environment she has created over the years.

In helping and working closely with Cary, Karen and Kate were deeply inspired to meet all her needs as she and her husband continue to age gracefully in the place they love most. Through their dedicated support, Cary has truly found her trusted Circle of Care.

Meet the Team

Dave, Son of Client

“Karen and Kate were an incredible support to our family during a really tough time. After my mom came home from rehab with complications from worsening vascular dementia, it was clear my dad couldn’t manage her care alone. We were overwhelmed and unsure where to turn.

From the start, they listened with compassion and truly understood what we needed — both medically and emotionally. They found caregivers who were not only skilled but also kind and thoughtful.

Their help made all the difference. My mom stayed safe and engaged, and my dad finally got the break he needed without guilt. They didn’t just send people — they stayed involved and adjusted care as things changed.

Karen and Kate brought peace of mind back into our home. We’re so grateful.
